Nominations are now open for the 2026 Australian Wool Industry Medal, recognising individuals who have made an outstanding and lasting contribution to the Australian wool industry.
Presented by Wool Industries Australia Inc. (WIA) since 2017, the Medal honours excellence across all sectors of the industry, including wool growing, shearing, brokering, exporting, education, research, processing, and retail.
WIA is calling on industry participants to nominate individuals who have demonstrated exceptional service, leadership, and impact within the wool industry.
Nominations close at COB Tuesday, 30 June 2026.
Nominations are open to all men and women who have worked in or represented the Australian wool industry and made an exceptional and sustained contribution in the Australian wool industry in one or more of the following categories.

Eligibility for Nomination
Any living individual who has been actively involved in the Australian wool industry since 1991 and has made a significant contribution is eligible for nomination.
Note: Contributions made before 1991 may also be considered.
Nominations can be submitted by individuals, community organisations, professional bodies, or similar groups.
